The Autopsy Project goes Bremen

The succesful production The Autopsy Project (2007) will be perfomed during the international dance festival TANZ Bremen, Germany on Monday, April 12th.
In The Autopsy Project, Gingras examines the concept of autopsy in today's society. In the performance, that itself has the structure of an autopsy, Gingras shows how seductive pure knowledge and technology can be: for the experts for the sake of scientific progress, for society to believe in blindly as the solution to all our problems.

International Dance Day
 In 1982 the International Dance Council (CID) of UNESCO introduced the date of April 29th as the International Dance Day. In Rotterdam, april 29th is a day full of presenations by large professional dance companies as wel als amateur dancers; a dance parade and workshops for young and old. Dance Works Rotterdam is present at this day! Come and watch one of our performances or join the workshop by artistic director André Gingras.

Meet André Gingras
 It has been a month since he became the new artistic director of Dance Works Rotterdam: André Gingras. Time to meet him.
On May 11th, André Gingras will be interviewed by Jan Zoet, theatre director in Rotterdam, about his plans for the company. Gingras will also touch on his ideas for the next season. The interview takes place after the last performance of the production 3/Sense/Scene/Scenarios in Rotterdam.

In our studios
In our studios the dancers are working on the presentations for InterACT: Choreography Lab on May 7th, 8th and 9th. Guest choreographer Dave St-Pierre will finish rehearsals for his new piece LIBIDO at the end of the month. André Gingras works on rehearsals for The Autopsy Project and a new educational program for the upcoming school season.
